Worship is ministry to God. We might have thought that worship of God was designed as a way to enter God's presence and to get what we need from Him. But worship is not about what you as the worshipper need or what you want to experience.

We worship God because He is worthy to be worshipped. We worship God because it pleases Him. That should be our motivation.

Instead of worshipping with the goal of receiving, or worshipping with the goal of experiencing a tingly feeling, we are to worship to give. We give our expressions of love, devotion, adoration, praise, and worship to God.

Jesus instructed us to seek God's kingdom, to make that our primary pursuit in life. (Matthew 6:33) To seek is to pursue; to abandon all else in pursuit of God and what He thinks and what He wants.

Let's pursue what God wants; what will please Him. God is looking for people who will fully commit their lives to Him in a covenant relationship; who will determine that their primary goal and priority in life is to please Him; and who will give Him the time, the honor, and the adoration that pleases Him, in worship.
